Question From Jeuno and back ..

Hello!

I was just about to make my first journey towards the great city of Jeuno before I hit the sack. I heard it can be a tough journey at level 18 (I was hoping to get parties at Qufim Isle), but I am sure it will be worth it. The thing is, though, I really want to go back to Bastok, but it all seems really, really inconvinient. I mean, say I want to do some quests or whatever. How do I get back? Do I run the same way back? Seems expensive to me, since I'll be using money on items that will hide me from all the aggroing freaks out there. Isn't there an easier way to get home to Bastok?

Thank you in advance!

Re: From Jeuno and back ..

Bastok > South Gustaberg > North Gustaberg > Konschat Highlands > Pashlow Marshlands > Rolanberry Fields > Jeuno.

In Pashlow and Rolanberry, the lvl of the monsters are higher than you. If you can find a whm that can sneak and invisible you all the way, then it'll be smooth. At lvl 20, start to get your chocobo liscence (you won't get aggro while you're on it). Make your homepoint Jeuno once you get there. ^^ After Qufim, you'd go to Kazham (I went there at lvl 24).

I hope this helps!

Re: From Jeuno and back ..

1. You don't need to buy items to dodge aggro, but that can be a slow way.

2. If you can get 2 more levels (get to 20) you can do the Chocobo license quest when you get there and then you could choco to the 3 starting cities. Thats much faster then walking.

3. If you don't get your chocobo license then yes, you'll be walking back the same way you went there.

4. Depending on who controls what right now on your server, you might be able to do an Outpost supply run to Pashow. That can benifit you later, for one by allowing you to tele right back to Bastok from the outpost in Pashow if/when you come running back from Jeuno to Bastok.

Re: From Jeuno and back ..

Other than chocobos, which you need to be level 20 to do the quest to ride them, you have no other options until level 25 and onwards when you can use the Qufim Island Outpost to travel to and from Bastok. Assuming you do the supply run and that a nation other than Beastmen hold the Island. Before 25, I'd really not bother going to Jeuno till 20th. You might get a party in Qufim Island but you can really hit 20 in the Dunes and then combine your first trip to Jeuno with your chocobo quest.

Re: From Jeuno and back ..

Pardon my douchebagness, but what is a OP level? Original party level? Does that mean that you could go there at level 15?

Re: From Jeuno and back ..

OP stands for Outpost. He's referring to the Outpost teleport.

Re: From Jeuno and back ..

BTW I just saw your other question in your post "level 18 (I was hoping to get parties at Qufim Isle)." If you get to 19 you'll have a better chance of getting parties in Qufim. That will get you to 20 and you'll be able to do the Chocobo license quest while you're there. Then traveling around becomes a little easier and faster.

Re: From Jeuno and back ..

A short term method from Jenuo to Bastok:
1. Set Home Point at Bastok.
2. Switch to any level 1 job.
3. Head outside of Jenuo, died, and death-warp to your Bastok Home Point.

In long term, basically is Chocobo License, Outpost Teleport, work your rank up to have airship access between City <-> Jenuo, Scroll of Instant Warp or lvl 36+ Warp crudget, have a lvl 37+ WHM teleport to Crags, have a lvl 40+ BLM Warp II you, or level BLM to 17 for Warp.
