Elvaan Question
I've read from numerous sites that while Elvaans have great physical strength, their biggest weakness is magic.

So i was wondering, if i was to choose "Black Mage" as my Job, would it improve my magic stats or not.

let me see if i can help,
from what i have learned taru tarus are the best mages period...but if you are an elvann mage wou will have some advantages like probably your VIT will be higher then other mages or your strength will still be good to defend yourself....but your magic will not be as strong as a taru taru..correct me if im wrong or if i missed something

Excuse me if you've already seen this thread, but there's some detailed discussion of Elvaan BM vs. Taru BM in there:
Any importers on Ragnarok want to help?

Should give you an idea of how picking the Elvaan race will affect you as a mage, I hope.

edit: Oh, and the forum for these questions is the one the linked thread is located in (Race & Job type Questions), just so you know in the future.

Day Three: I look good when I run!
Day Four: I also look good standing still. Running across Riddermark v. good excercise. I swear my butt has just gotten firmer. Is that even possible?
Day Six: Is Gimli staring at my butt?
Day Seven: No wonder he's always lagging behind.

Ive seen lots of good elvaan black mages, but elvaan would not have as much MP as a Hume, Taru or Mithra would. Elvaan does have Race Specific Equipment(LV29+) that raises there MP alot.

not sure if your question is answered
Here is the deal, no matter which race you are when you choose a job, your stats change to fit that job better. So when you are a Elvaan warrior your Str is higher and your Int is lower. When you are a mage your INt is higher and your Str is less. SO its not like you have only so much INt and so much str no matter what job you use. Job influences your stats a lot more than your race.
