Methods of payment..
>< So.. I'm coming back to FFXI after 2 years of WoW.. but I don't have a credit card of my own at this point. ><

Now, are there any other methods of payment I could use, like a game card or something like that? Also, is there any way to set up an account on the FFXI website and not while installing POL and such.. I can't remembre.

no. only credit or debit cards with Visa or Mastercard logo

and only account setup through POL Viewer

I pay with my pre-paid debit card, so my parents pay indirectly. So yup, you can definitely do that.
