Hello,
I thought I would make me a new char and start in Bastok but what can I farm to get money easy in AH? I know in Windy I can farm on threads and in Sandy farm on hare meat and chrystals.

But what can I farm in Bastok?

Beehive chips are usually pretty abundant in Gustaberg. Quadav backplates too.

No so easy since I must join the guild in Sandy (?) And get money to buy rod and so on

You don't have to join any guild to fish up moats. And they sell anywhere.

That and the guild is either in Windy or Selbina. If you don't have any money, kill Goblin Fishers in South Gustaberg along the east coast. They drop cheap rods like Yew. Use that until you get enough money to invest in a better rod. This would also let you try fishing to see if you like it before putting money into it.

If you decide to get serious about Moat fishing / fishing in general, pick up cooking so you can make your own bait.

Definitely do Beehive Chips on the hills of Gustaberg. Honey sells moderately well, too. Quadav Backplates keep a steady sell price and always sell well in Basty.

Consider going to Sandy, the trek isn't hard, I did it at BLM12 for Drain. Kill Orcs and Funguars in Ghelsba Outpost for Fire and Dark Crystals. (and EXP!) Do some logging out there, you can get Elm Logs which sell well. If you log, pick up woodworking so you can consolidate the logs to lumber. You can make money off of the Arrowwood and Ash Lumber out there. Willow and Holly are garbage, but you may want to sell them.

Consider going to Windy, I also did that at BLM12 for Blaze Spikes. Kill Yagudos for their necklaces, Lightning Crystal + Yagudo Necklace = Copper Ingot. Or just fill up your inventory and overnight bazaar them near Nanaa Mihgo in Windurst Woods, people trying for Norg fame will buy them.

Eh, the crystal route in Bastok sucks, frankly. If you want to go crystals, I still suggest the hills of Gustaberg. Bees drop wind crystals plus beehive chips and honey, worms drop earth crystals plus zinc ore, Goblins drop fire and lightning crystals plus the occasional armor piece.

You can also kill the sheep for skins and turn them into Sheep Leather (a low synth, easy money).

I always try to steer people toward maximizing their options when farming. Don't just farm one thing, get as much as you can.

Things to remember: Be careful of undead on the hill at night, and sheep hit stronger than they check. You can kill Carnero, but he only drops an EX Great Katana. Stinging Sophie is fun, though.

Depending on what level you are Xeion. Everyone comment are correct but some of them require higher level to kill the mobs than others. The way that you won't die from aggro or stronger mob is by fishing moat carps. Get signet go outside kill the mobs and get enough money from crystals and drops and invest it on a fishing rod and some bait.

Quadav for backplates, worms for zinc ore, goblins for onions & armor pieces, saplings for seeds.. at night you can get revival roots from doggies and bone chips off the skeles..

There's lots of ways to make money. Just gotta plug away at it, 1000 gil at a time.

Get treant bulbs from saplings and turn them in to the woman at the very last house on the left in Bastok Markets. If you turn them in at the right time you get more gil but you'll always get at least 100 gil for it. Not only do you make a little bit of money that way, but you raise your Bastok fame which is always good for quests like Warp and Teleport-Dem.

Keep in mind as well that Bastok is directly connected to a mine. Its not high end money by any means but there is some decent stuff to be had and almost no aggro. The jelly mob is the only thing in the zone that will aggro and he's pretty easy to avoid.
