chocobo question

Hi folk i got a question about chocobo raising.
I played FFXI about 2 years ago and now i lost my account password
but im thinking of buying a new account and start over again.

One of the things that want me to start again is the chocobo raising.
so my question is, can i start raising chocobos in the beginning or do you have to be high lvl? or at least lvl 20?

You have to be able to get to Jeuno to get your egg. So 20 would be nice so you can ride chocobo to Jeuno and back to your home town.

Chocobo raising is like gardenning that you need to check your bird every day. Won't be very convenience until you can ride airship in my opinion.

We have racing tracks in the game data but it's not open for use yet. I'm pretty excited to see what it will turn out like too.

I don't believe so. Atleast not for the eggs buyable in Ru'Lude.

What level do you have to be, to ride a chocobo?

Twenty, to either rent or ride your own, once its an adult and you've gotten a Chocobo Whistle.

You can also ride a chocobo at level 15 from a chocobo stable (not from a teleport). But the time you can ride is alot shorter than when your level 20. That's handy to know for when your leveling in the dunes

I thought it was lvl 16? Man, all this time I kept waiting for 16...
