Imagine my shock when I discovered it would cost me 900 Gil to buy a single Potion.

I'm not a WHM...Nor do I plan on switching to become one anytime soon.

Resting uses up TP...Which I need to strike down Mobs, and to defend myself, using my abilities...

Is there a less expensive way to heal HP???
Other than gaining a WHM in my Party???...And short of Resting???

Nope, and at lvl 6 if you are complaining about resting to heal.....gooooooood luck! The few seconds it takes to get your health to full is nothing. You'll be pt'ing with people at lvl 10+ and be getting heals so stick with it 4 more lvls.

Just rest up, you oughta be able to build up TP by swatting a few Easy Prey enemies and take minimal dmg from doing it, then move up to the enemies you really want. You should be able to do this all the way up to Lv17ish without any kind of food or drink(Au laits anyone?) And from then on you'll want to use some items... or just join a party >.>

Yeah, at that low a level you really don't need the TP so much that you can't just rest. As you level up more, you're going to need to fight Easy Prey more and more to get decent XP (the time it takes you to kill anything tougher, the time spent healing, and the chance of dying make it not worth fighting DC-EM). Then around level 10-15 you'll be partying instead, so it won't matter.

If you want to make it a bit eaiser, though Selbina Milk helps. It restores 1 HP per tick over time, I think for a total of 40 HP. It stacks, unlike other HP regen drinks, and it's cheap (62 gil each maximum). You can get it from the regional vendor for whoever controls Zulkheim, or off the AH if you can't get to that city.

Zulkheim vendors:
Bastok - Rosswald, Port Bastok J-7
San d'Oria - Phamelise, South San d'Oria K-9
Windurst - Bin Stejihna, Windurst Woods G-8
