Unhappy Payment options

Ok, I'm sure this has been posted a myriad of times but here we go...

I was playing FFXI last year, had a credit card, life was good. Credit card gone, no playing game, lost character ( insert random explination filled with drama). So........

Can anyone please tell me how my broke-ass can get back into the game without a credit card? Like can i buy refillable Visa with a money order?

HELP!

Re: Payment options

Yes you can use Visa/MC gift cards or you can see if your bank offers debit cards with the Visa or MC logo.

Re: Payment options

well i just went to the Visa gift card site and you need a credit card to order a visa gift card. guess I could have someone order it for me. But, will FF let you change the billing visa easily?

Yes its easy to change. If you have a mall near you they may have the Visa/MC gift cards there also. You can pay in cash for them.

Re: Payment options

Using a gift card can be very scary, because they can attact "Mystery" fees or expire.

Reference: http://www.bankrate.com/brm/news/cc/giftcard.asp

I may suggest if something went wrong with your normal credit card. You should try a secured credit card. Not as fancy as a normal credit card, not as lax as a giftcard. You have to make a deposit to determine your spending limit. So get a secured credit card, and put like 15 bucks or so. There could be a 100 dollar min. deposit, not quite sure; I just use normal credit cards.

Re: Payment options

get a reloadable debit card if you cannot get one from your bank.

https://web1.greendotonline.com/Boos...etTheCard.aspx

Takes 7-10 days to come in the mail, and you can reload it as many times as you want. Theres a 5$ fee to reload it but it's worth it if you are like me and dont have a bank account or credit card.

Re: Payment options

If you're a student you can open a bank account FREE (not monthly fees or anything) at most banks in the U.S., and they will give you a debit card with visa logo thay you can use, after that when you have cash just go deposit it in your bank and you can use your debit card to spend the money you put in.
