Are you able to repeatedly create a new character to get on the server you want?

Or did Square fix that 'problem'? I need to know so I can see if I can get my friends and I all on the same server without getting a worldpass. Also, could someone explain the worldshifter to me?

creating/deleting works if the server is still in the pool of servers that are randomly given to you when you create a character. Servers that have too high of a population are taken out of this pool and the only way to get on these ones are through worldpasses.

Worldshifting is when a population becomes too high on a server and Square says they will move you from your server to server X if you want to. You do not get to pick the server you go to, only the one they offer.

Look at the board title. What is it called? Frequently Asked Questions. Coming to this board and expecting not to see the same question repeated over and over is ignorant. Don't want to see repeated questions? Don't come to this board! This is why I usually don't post questions on the FFXI Talk board; so people don't get all pissy if the question has been asked before.

I just wonder...since when u make a character they automatically add .75 cents wouldnt making a character over repeatedly make ur monthly fee go soaring!?!? or how does the new character thing work? do they only charge u like an hour after ur character has been made and played with? LOL this is one of the phew questions i ponder about...doesnt really matter to me, cause i can just buy a WP for myself ;P

btw just buy a WP, 10k is nothing u can gain it back like nothing when ur lvl 30

its really hard to do that
like if you want to go to ragnarock i would suggest get a world pass
due to the fact that i believe they stopped random people from entering ragnarock and bigger servers like that
so get a WP if u really want to go to a particular server

world passes cost gil. ask someone who imported KINDLY and they might buy a world pass for u. i would pay them back

Yeah, it's for FAQ's. You know what 'frequently' means right? It means 'often'. 'Often' means more than one. Don't want to see a frequent question? Don't come here. I've already said this.

It says to post any FAQ here; that means if you have some FAQ about the game, post it here! Unfortunately, people have turned this into the question and ask zone, where questions are asked several times, sometimes on the same day or the day after.
