Ok, so, I just started to play and my buddy's are interested in playing as well. Is there a way to have us all play on the same server. Also, does it matter if some of us have psx2 and pc?

If you want your real life friends to join you on the same World/Server what you need to do is get a Worldpass.

This is something that you buy in the game- there is an npc in each of the starting cities that sells them.

Basically the Worldpass is a password that new users input at the final stage of New Character creation;
They select which world they wish to start in, and then input the Worldpass into the field.

It does not matter if they will be playing on PC or PS2, all people play on the same servers.

I believe a worldpass can be used up to 5 times before it is void.
They remain active for 7 days, if i remember correctly.
