OK so its set im getting this video card http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...133-068&depa=0 (dont flame me i have seen screenshots and its good enough for me, even PCI) Putting it into my Dell demension 4500 With 715 MB of RAM I was just wondering if thats alot of RAM or not, and if it will be able to handle it, it seems like a decent amount looking at some other peoples "set ups" Thanks in advance,

768MB is plenty of RAM to play this game, all my computers have 512 and play it just fine. I must wonder though, do you have a AGP slot? Because, that will give you quite a bit more bandwidth for your video card. |

Sounds like an early P4 system. Early P4's were slow, they came with either SDram or RDram. If it's the latter you're lucky as it's fast even by today's standards. A simple way to know which ram you bought, RDram is expensive lol. It's hard to say how well it will run because I don't know which P4 you have. FFXI doesn't need a good video card, unless you run at very high resolutions, but it really needs a fast processor. You're ram is good, even with the slow SDram you should be fine. It's just the processor I'm concerned. P4's started at 1.4Ghz, if you have that then I would advice to upgrade. It's not just the Ghz, those early P4's really stank ^^.
