Typing Japanese On the PC

I got my PC to be able to read japanese characters but now how do i write it? Can someone give me a step by step instructions on how to do it thanks.

To type in japanese do you need a japanese keyboard?

No, you can type using a ENG keyboard,
Just when you type "ka" it would turn into �?�
Works well for me
