Physical Earrings and convert

Physical earrings, say they convert 25 MP to 25 HP. I was wondering how this works.

Do I need any MP to make this happen? Do I need 25 MP to get 25 HP?

Can someone help me out with this? thanks in advance.

yes, anything that says "converts x to y" you must have x to get y
