Goblin Archaelogist is a NM in a way that pops near the crags. Sometimes when visiting the crags, you may see "???" around it. Talking to it will give you the reply of something like "Hey, you! Give me all you got in that bag!" Basically, to make this guy pop, you need to trade a certain amount of items to him. Any items will work, but you can only trade to him once per day. Eventually it will say he is nearing the surface, at this point you need to trade him one more item (I think). When he pops, he pops claimed to you. The level is random, not sure of the ranges, but I think it's based on the party's level. When you kill him, you get one Gold Beastcoin and 2 random items. You can also Mug him for 900+ gil.

Yeah, truly scary as he can be a piece of cake for some and totally ream others. Kinda a gamble going after this thing.

this goblin was so strong.. 1 bomb toss killed both their life bar almost 75% O.O .. i wanna kill him again ; ; we got 2 gold beastcoins and a pick and a few hundred each last time we fought it
