Dial-up

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this has been posted before, but I looked, couldn't find it, and I don't have the time to scour the forums to find it.

Anyway, can you play FFXI with a Dial-up connection? Details would be appreciated.

Edit: my connection speed is 45.333 kbps

Yeah you should be able to, I have dial up and It plays fine, but i also have a really good computer. So dont forget that the computer matters too.

Well, the thing is, I am getting it for PS2... is that going to matter?

Is it smooth?

Does it affect gameplay?

It runs fine with Dial-up on ps2 I use it i see notthin wrong.

K, got a new problem for you guys to help me with....

Dled/Installed everything no problem, got the the POL online installation part, and started dling the first patch (like 127 files) and at the 64 file, it just stopped dling. No error message, it was like it just stopped downloading for no reason. So I tried it again (thankfully it didn't start over at the beginning, but started with the 64th file) but at 85 percent, the file stopped dling. I tried it about 10 times, but no go. Neone got any ideas? It's a .doc file, but I can't remember anything else about the name.
