How to record FFXI videos?

How to record FFXI videos? being able to record the in game sound would also be a plus too. thanks!

I've never done it, but Microsoft bundles Windows Movie Maker with Windows XP Pro.

This may or may not work, I onno.

Try google.com and dig up some screen capture movie software stuff. I'm guessing most of it won't be freeware though.

If you're using the PS2 version, you need a computer with a video input device. Then you plug your PS2 into that device and record on the computer. Then you can covert it to a more bandwidth-friendly format and post it on the net.

If you are using the PC version, you can get a program called FRAPS that runs in the background and can capture screenshots of or (if registered) record movies of whatever is on your monitor screen.

I tried to use Fraps to record, but the fps (frames per second) went down from 30 to around 15, when I started recording. If anybody knows how to fix this problem, please do. I have a Athlon XP 2500+, 512MB RAM, and an ATI "All-In-Wonder" 9600 non-pro.
