i believe the friendlist is by handle (might be wrong tho). but yes you can transfer characters to another handle. just unassign them from the old handle (done in the handle list part of POL viewer) and assign them to the new one. |

Yes, everything is stored by handle, not by character. I know this because I started a mule to sell my ore/lumber and put her on a new handle. She lost my friends list, the layout and controls went back to default and I had all the basic macros again. |

On the other side, all my characters have the same Handle, so when I log in, no matter the character, people know Im on and even which character im on. It looks like this in the list, kinda Sweetooth--------| Ravenclaw Where sweet is my handle, and ravenclaw the current character Im logged in on. Also, no matter who you are logged in on, since they were added via your handle, all your friends are on your list, no matter the character.

If I log in with a second handle, one that I don't have a Friends list for yet, and a new character, will anyone even be able to tell that I'm online? What I mean is: I have a main character and a main handle that I play with all the time and that's fine. But, sometimes I'd like to be able to log and just play with a second character, solo (mostly for craftin) and without all the /tells and messages and all that. Can I do that? Basically, I want character #1 (my main) to be my "social" character and character #2 (my alt) to be my solo, quiet character. |

I have 2 characters on seperate servers as my INFO suggest*points*... Which I made 2 seperate handles for the character, so friends on A server cannot bug me for anything: my friends are annoyed by my no-powergamer style.. no progress for 6 whole months now, so if they find out I play double servers, I will be shot before dawn... ![]() Anyway, one thing I found interesting is, I can still see my friend list in my 1st handle, when I was using my 2nd handle... Though they can't see me online in my 2nd handle, some of them are shown in my 2nd handle... so I believe friend list is shared in your POL account, you can see your 1st handle's friend online or not, depending on their setting on 'privacy lvl'...and your friends would have to /befriend "you", or add your 2nd handle thru POL, in order to see your 2nd handle... |
