I started having this problem where it would seem like the keyboard functions would be inactive, but I can still type in the message box. I can't press enter, access the "-" menu, move, target, or anything. I didn't have Bind cast on me, so we can rule that out. Even Alt-Tab wouldn't work. Ctrl+Alt+Delete worked, and that's how I was able to exit the game.

hehe, I"ve had a couple episodes where I'll be typing something, and whenever I hit the letter E on the keyboard, the game would crash to the desktop.

I was happy about that.

I might have found the problem.

I have the Vantec Vortex VTX-CO1BK for my primary hard drive. When the game locked my keyboard functions, I noticed that the HDD cooler was accidently set to OFF (no fan running). Usually, I have it on HI. I also have a door that covers my drive bays, so I didn't notice that it was off. On HI it runs at 27°C, LO at around 34°C, and around 40+ when it's off. (I do not remember the numbers exactly, but these are close.) For the most part, I noticed nothing wrong when I had the fan set to HI.

Just yesterday, I tried to have it set on LO to see if it would affect performance. I was talking to a friend in the game and suddenly, when I typed something, the enter key wouldn't work. I thought, "Oh no, not again." I couldn't Alt-Tab out, couldn't access any menus, but I could still type text in the message box--I just couldn't press enter to say what I wanted to say. The only function that worked was Ctrl+Alt+Delete. I switched the fan to HI and I didn't have any problems for the rest of the evening.

I'd experiment this more, but I don't want to mess anything up. :sweat:
