Grafik Problem - all around me is grey

I have a problem.

I created a new Char (Taru) and the Intromovie has big party of grey textures and i know there must be green beautiful textures of Windurst.
If i walk around more and more textures change from colorfull to grey until all of the world is most grey and i am waling in a grey world, without textures.
I dont have the problem with my Mithra char, all its fine.

What can i do?

The same thing happened to me once. Logging out didn't help, but changing some settings did. Later I changed the settings back and had no problem...

Technic Team gave me an answer:

dont use the newest nvidia driver 52.16
better you use the driver 45.33 www.nvidia.com (search).

Disable bumbmapping (FFXI, before starting viewer) in the FFXI Settings and turn on Fog Table Emulation in your videocard software.

I try it out now. HOPE IT WILL HELP!

I had the same problem too, and I had my setting at 1024 X 768 with 1024 x 1024 background. I solved the problem by dropping my resolution to 800 x 600. Then like last week or something there was a computer show in Los Angeles. I bought another 512 stick of DDR SDRAM, now I have 1 Gig RAM in my system, and it runs fine in 1024 x 768.

Go fig, I needed more ram... I NEED MORE RAM! *drools for more ram*
