So let me get this straight.

from lvl 0-17, u have ur basic job and no sub job
then from level 18--29 u get a sub job, which is a basic job, but weaker, so lets say Monk/Theif, then at lvl 30+ u get an advanced ob, that knocks out either ur main basic job or ur sub basic job, so lets say Monk/Darkknight takes over. Say my subjob was theif, once I get the advanced job, do I get to keep all the abilities I learned as a theif, even tho my new sub is Darkknight, or do this disappear.

I want to be a monk/theif, but if I don't take an advanced job I will be horribly flawed and weak. U would thing Squarenix would make it so that mnk or thf was a basic job and that whichever one was a basic job would be a adv. so I could be Mnk/thf(adv.) as they would support the special traits, If I can't keep MNK/THF, with THF ability when I drop for an adv class I want my deposit back.

Those % are or were posted somewhere on this forum by someone.

This is mi first post, I am from Mexico and my level of english is very low, I hope you can understand What I am going to answer

First of all, I take the benchmark and I got 1517 , this is good? Do you think that I have to buy a new video card ? because I don't want to play with slow framerate. I don't want to spend much money , but I want to play with a good frame rate =)

My PC

Pentium IV 2.65
512 MB RAM
Geforece 2 mx 40

I really apreciate if you can answer me

arc, your going to want at least a 3000 on the benchmark, 1500 meets bare requirements...you will lag very much with a geforce 2. I would recommend an ati radeon 9000 series card, or a very new geforce 4. You seem to have enough ram and the processor speed will work, however, your Video Card must be upgraded, you wouldnt be able to play with high resolution, and low resolution would be extremely slow.

Id just like to ask a simple question. I just want to say that i am from the uk and am looking forward to the arrival of FFXI. Me and my friend want to go on the same server together and we have decided that we will keep trying until we do so.
The question i have is that once we are on the server together and we go to our seperate starting Cities (i will be elvaan and he will be taru taru) is it easy to meet each other up or will we find this VERY difficult as we will be low levels and probably die on the journy. Also if i did start in windrust with him would i still be able to purchase the san'doria ring that you get?

Thanx alot and apreciate all the help you can give

I dont think you can purchase the ring If you do not start in the proper city. As of traveling though I can't really answer for I have not been able to play yet.
