how many ppl can be in linkshell

I know that linkshell is a chatting thing, but how many ppl can be in a linkshell, I read that there are like 5 or 6 ppl per linkshell. Also is an alliance equal 3 linkshell??:spin:

the alliances are for parties. 6 person per group/party/pt/whatever you want to call it.

Link Shells can have an unlimited amount of people (I haven't confirmed this but can't see why there would be a restriction). They're kind of like clans or guilds although some people don't like to refer to them as that since it is mostly a chat room. But wether you want to or not, you grow to know these people and end up PTing with them and questing together. Therefore in the end, Link Shells become clans/guilds in my opinion.

Hope this cleared up some confusion.
