I am trying to Skill up and fish up Some Nebimonight's there. however Wiki stats that you can catch them there with a Rogue rig and Shrimp lure for ex. So I grabed a lure and useing the Hy rod. I learned that these fish are eazy to catch with little trouble from my Lv 15 fisherman. however, I have lost 1 lure from trying to pullin a easy to catch fish that broke my line. I belive the message was only one ! and said "you have a bad feeling". my question here is that will all mobs break my line or rod if the message is bad or terrible feeling. I.E. I got a interesting message every now and then. single ! followed by "Terrible feeling"... I so wonder whats on the other end of that. |

Don't fish up Nebs in SSG. Every time I've tried with crayfish balls to isolate them I'm just gotten my rod broken. My main fishing spot for them is the ferry because you can also catch Noble Ladies. On my server both Nebs and Nobles AH for 9-11k a stack on average so it's worth it. I would just bring a spare shrimp lure or two though until your fishing skill hits 20+ (with or without gear) as Noble Ladies can snap lines if your skill is below 20. I'm saying this because my fishing skill it 24+4 and I can catch Nobles with no problems while pre-20 (including gear so 16+4 onwards) I would lose a few lures to Nobles. If you want to skill up your fishing a bit faster to catch more stuff go to the north shore of Qufim or Buburimu with a Sabiki rig or take a bunch of stacks of Insect Paste to the lake in Jugner. Jugner is more profitable and skill you up faster though Qufim and Bubu only need a rig to fish instead of consumable bait. EDIT: And if you get a message ending in three exclaimation marks you've caught either a large unstackable fish or a monster. It's advisable to simply hit cancel since they can either break you rod or kill you if it's a mob. If you get the Terrible feeling message after the three exclaimation marks you've probably caught a large fish. They tend to break most rods so I wouldn't reel them in if you're using a Carbon/Hume/Halcyon rod instead of something like a Mithran or Composite Rod.

Grimmonites and coral fragments there can both break your rod, and both can frequently snap your line. Even with a Lu Shang's, line breaks happen every once in a blue moon - it's far more common with the weaker rods. The "terrible + !" you get every once in a while is probably bastore bream. I'll second Firewind's recommendation for the Selbina-Mhaura Ferry using crayfish balls. Much safer (well, aside from the odd Sea Horror, but it's certainly safer for your fishing rod...). Cool thanks for the info. I just started to like SSG to. I would just go there 75 SMN/37SCH and just have carby killing mobs while I fished. And these lil Nebs are so ezy to catch I feel like there a item most of the time. Well then I'll try out the Crayballs instead of the lure for a bit. that way If I get a line break I wont lose a lure.

You can still get a rod break using crayfish balls. Found that out the hard way >.< I personally prefer ferry fishing because kicking around Pirates and Sea Horror when they pop is so much fun but that's just me.
