Hello. I recently reached the level of cooking where I'll be able to make flint caviar for skillups. However, this requires the use of Emperor Fish to get Emperor Roe. I would like to be able to catch my own emperor fish, but I am not sure that I can catch them. Their skill cap is 94 according to the wiki. and there begins the problem.I am only 30 fishing, and I have no Lu Shang's Rod. Is it possible to catch these at my level, with only a Composite Rod? Or do I simply need to level up and get a Lu Rod? Also, I understand one can, instead of Emperor Fish, use an Aht Urghan fish called Morinabaligi. The wiki has little information on it, so I figure I'd ask if it's a "better" fish to use for the recipe, and if so, how to go about getting it. Thanks in advance. |

I'd say it would be pretty much impossible for you to catch emperor fish with 30 skill and no lu. I'm not the most agile fisherman, but at 57 with lu these guys still give me a run for my money. I probably only land about half the ones that I hook, and the bite rate is typically not very good. If you want to try anyway, any of the ice ponds in Beaucedine will work. I don't know anything about the Morinabaligi.

Emporer Fish is a tough cookie even with a Lu Shang's Fishing Rod and 96+6 Fishing. It's not that it moves a lot, but it just has enormous amounts of stamina. It would be very hard to fight down at level 30, as it is a level 92 fish. Icemage |

I kinda figured this'd be the case, but I've seen weirder things with this fishing system, so I figured I'd ask. Thanks anyway, folks.
