I made about 3million gil, I think, maybe 2million.... i think I said 2million earlier.

I can't remember because I spent it all. I should have waited till after the inflation was over. But I'm an impatient man.

So bascially I got nothing out of it. Figures, the only time I have more than 500k, it all goes for (almost) naught.

I haven't played this game in ages, and I'm just beginning to learn about this whole fatigue deal. I think this is a great system to limit fish botters, but honestly, don't you think 200 fish is a bit low? Maybe for stuff ilke bastore breams and soles they are reasonable, but I've barely started on my lu shang's quest before I took a break from this game and getting a lu shangs by fishing carps would take months now because of this. Sometimes, I go on extended fishing trips (usually after a bad day or pt) to calm myself. With sabiki rigs catching 2 or 3 fishes at a time, that 200 limit can be hit in just a couple hours if even that.

I'm personally glad they put in the ~200 fish per day cap, lately the market for most profit fish has been flooded enough as it is.

Yes obtaining the Lu Shang's is more difficult than it was before, but at the same time the incentives for getting the rod in terms of profit per hour once you hit the 50s or 60s have never been better.

Under the old system my absolute record for profit per hour with the Lu Shang's was 46k in 60 minutes fishing Sea Serpent Grotto.

Under the current system I can expect anywhere from 175-240k per hour on average in Qufim or SSG.

Granted you have to adjust for inflation but you will be happier to have the Lu Shang's now than under the old system, even if the rod used to be easier to obtain back then.
