SE just announced there will be a trial version of FFXIV available for ANYONE to play at Gamescom!

My good friends at FFXIVCore.com have one of there admins at the convention and he is updating THIS and only THIS thread:

since FFXIVCore.com is the first to post this information.. I will be directing everyone to their site. It would only be proper. However, I have a buddy who is there aswell who will be answering certain question for me...

"Can we jump, swim, etc? How does the battle system work? etc"

Awww, I was going to go to Gamescon as well. My trip to Germany ended up being a month too early to go

Hopefully we'll get some nice information out of it though.

Holy snap, the characters have teeth!

That was something that always bugged me about FFXI, we had nothing more then empty gaping maws for mouths

Also, /thumbsup is win XD

It did seem like it was FoV. That will be intersting to see if thats in the game. Hmmm...

Look in the upper right corner of the screen. Anyone else see a Sandy flag there? Its red with something gold in it. Maybe I am just seeing things though. Its to the left of the guild card though.

LOL I had never really paid any attention to that on FFXI but that would explain why we tossed food into the air instead of eating it.

Seeing as they pretty much described exactly that one of the "Leves" quest things would be like an FoV, I'm going to say yes. It's a simple grinding system, "Kill XX mobs, get YY rewards"
