Otherwise Very Well, Second I Heard FFXIV + Online MMORPG = SOLD!

I came right back to the game (in spirit at least) I enjoyed the most back in the day, not many games in the genre since besides eve online have really tickled my fancy, the only reason I'm playing world of warcraft again at the moment is because I have nothing better to play and considering this is my passion/hobby it doesn't leave me with much (can't go back to eve online for various reasons, prime one being I made alot of enemies via player killing).

I only remembered this place cause I ran into one of the other guys, he's playing huxley now and warhammer online, name started with a S but it wasn't sind I was going to start up the old guild but I can't be stuffed ressurrecting the past and since spazz is already here and you already tipped your hat to join this place I don't see why not to join here, I'd rather play with people I know and have played with then just randoms

Teknomans around here as well, he pops in from time to time, some of his videos are in the section devoted to it, some of the new guild he went with and the old crew back in the earlier days of midgardsomr. You'll notice spazz is in one of them as well, just can't remember if this spazz and our spazz are one in the same.

With that in mind -- We are starting up.

We should choose the same server rand a place to meet up, and start a....Linkshell? or what ever it will be called in XIV ;p

After talking to some of our founding members... we have decided to schedule our first ever LS EVENT!!!! We are incredibly excited about this as it will take place 1 week after launch, giving everyone plenty of time to get the game, make a character and get used to the game. The LS event will be .... dun dun dun..... S12 Field Day!!!!

S12 Field Day
S12 will be spending our first week in Eorzea getting everyone into the LS and helping each other out in anyway we can! Once we have a release date, the actual event will be given at set date and time that would be beneficial to most of the members. During the S12 Field Day, we will all gather in one location and go out exploring our new home! We will forming however many PTs/Alliances we can make to make sure everyone is included. We will have a set path that we are going to take... most of which MAY be off the beaten path... So make sure you bring all your shiny armor, robes, and weapons!

Basic Rules that we are going to have for this event!

1) No pushing, no shoving, and keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times. lol
2) If you have a friend you want to be in a party with, let us know and we will group people accordingly.
3) If you see a monster and want to attack, tell everyone first lol.
4) Those who have gas travel in the back of the pack! This is not open for discussion... lol
5) HAVE FUN!!!!
last but not least...
6) You as a member are NOT required to participate during any and all LS events that S12 organizes.

We are extremely excited about this and we want to visit all of the cities and areas we can with our new friends! If you are NOT a member of S12... you are still welcome to join us! Just let me know ahead of time.

But yeah, I was looking at IGN about the Beatles game, and I seen FFXIV Online.. I was like "wtf?". I remembered this place, too. God knows how. But dood, I'm so pumped for this game now. If it's anything like how FFXI import or NA launch was, this is going to be awesome. I remember all the old guys like Sind, Rawland, Brute, you, etc... That LS was so jokes... Always something funny being said or done.

And yeah, Spazz... Balberith, who is actually a friend of mine was over my place and looking through the forums. He recognized your name. Just wasn't sure if it was some other guy named Spazz, too.

But it's pretty cool to see some familiar names and people.

I have a request for the rule book, please oh please give people second chances in-case they accidentally get out of line. I've been banned from so many guilds because the people wouldn't give me a second chance.

It was a great lil community until amp went all wierd when he took guild master from me and the others, then it started going down hill And yeah if the game lives up to what FFXI was in the early days then I'm going to enjoy it a heck of alot and no need to import since its world-wide release for everyone :D Hopefully this time they give me a little more leg room to go exploring though, always hated the fact I could never just wonder around to look at areas in the game because something would always one shoot my toon (that changed after I got to 70 but still in the early days).

Yeah, you're right about being restricted early on. And not much variety, either in terms of enemies and such.

You'd spend some time killing rabbits to level up, only to go kill different colored rabbits.

But whatever, that's all minimal. It's still over a year away ...

I might join depending on what server we all end up on. Personally, I was contemplating forming my own adventure/exploration-based linkshell, since there seems to be so few people in the same mindset it would be nice to get them together before the servers split everybody up.

Hey Everyone! Ok so I havent mentioned any updates on the site in awhile and I wanted to let you all know that we are still working on it. The main guy who has been making it somehow got his hard drive corrupted and lost everything! We have been working extremely hard to make up for lost time and we apologize for the wait...

ALSO... This has been a blessing in disguise in some manner. We were talking about the picture on the cards for the member page and I asked him if there was a way to make it so that we can change them at a later date without having to take down the entire site to do so. Before hand, we couldnt. NOW... we can! He has worked his magic and made it so we can update the website in almost real time. So, once we get ingame, we will have our members meet up and we will take a few screenshots of you in action and then put the pictures in a slideshow fashion in your card on the members page! I cant wait for it! Yall are gonna love it!

You can count me in on this LS. I've been playing FFXI since the American launch on PC. I'm not what you would call a hardcore player, as I've only just hit my first 75 in the last year. (Yeah, I know)

But I am looking forward to this game and meeting new friends and possibly old. I have plenty of friends in XI who plan on playing both or switching.
