Servants of the Twelve FFXIV LS Recuit

Considering they changed it in FFXI so that you can pick your server, and every other MMO lets you choose servers, I doubt they'd make it random again. They've learnt from that - at least I'd hope.

I find the concept of an "endgame ready" FFXIV absolutely amusing, particulary since FFXIV appears to place emphasis on the story, exploration and the journey of your character rather than endgame. That and we know very little about the play mechanics of the game, parties, soloing and large scale combat systems. Or any of the other side aspects of the game.

I know there are those endgame nuts out there that insist that "the point" of MMOs are their endgames, but unfortunately they're wrong - your experience is what you make of it. If you aspired to be nothing more than a top chocobo breeder or fisherman in FFXI, you could do that and never even touch endgame. If your goal was to have a high faction rating with the evil races of EQ, you could reach that goal without touching endgame.

All that said, i still find setting up an LS/Guild right now to be premature. Its clearly not stopping anyone and they're free to do what they want, but seeing as there are two other notable MMOs coming in 2010 - DCU Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic- I don't know if I can wholly swear that I'm going to FFXIV. I probably will try to do FFXIV and DCU, particularly if DCU turns out to be less time consuming. I still want to be the Green Lantern of Gotham City - whether Batman likes it or not.

I havent decided where I'm ending up yet although goodluck with the venture on establishing a pre-launch linkshell/guild.

I haven't personally decided where I'm going yet, weather to let someone else handle the workload or re-establish majestic/crystal guardians again, it all depends on how the new systems in the game work out to weather I join a crew or make one again, I know quite a few of my old linkshell are venturing around lately though so anythings possible that this point in time.

I like the idea for your website though, very interesting design choice

Kailea, starting out as a Dragoon, for many years, recently gave in to her desire to protect others, and there for is now a Paladin. Sadly Kailea will soon say goodbye to her home of 5 years, and embark on a new adventure into the unknown.
