 | E3 2009: FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Coming Exclusively to PS3 in 2010  At Sony's 2009 E3 Press Conference, SCEA President Jack Tretton revealed that FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, AKA "Rapture" will be coming to PLAYSTATION 3 exclusively in 2010. No details were given but a trailer was shown, featuring a very FFXI-like world, but the lore seems to hint that it's a completely new one. The races looked similar but may not be the same either. FFXIV is the next MMO from Square Enix and it will launch exclusively for the PS3 in 2010. I'd expect it to come to PC and 360 at a later time.

I'm not 100% sure it's Rapture. SE did say that rapture would be on PS3, 360 and PC but the video is very convincing... Also, Sony's new motion stuff they just showed just took a huge shit all over the Wii. |

As I said in Feba's thread: In before "PS3 limitations." Also, I'll need details before I really feel like this is one to watch. Granted I am a bit burnt out on FFXI, though. But I do have my eye on DCU and The Old Republic as well. FFXIV has as much to prove as either of those. |

Malacite: except their tech demo looks like shit; Wii Sports more than proved what the Wii is capable of, and it's going to be a helluva lot easier to fix whatever problems it has by getting motion plus out there instead of this Camera and Wand thing. Plus a perpherial which is packaged with the console has a huge advantage over one people have to buy separately. Anyway, I'm guessing this is PS3 "Exclusive" *cough cough, whisper whisper*; not actually exclusive. |

PS3? /sigh........... Who the hell can afford that fucking thing. And a TV, which I also do not own at the current moment in time. FML! This is so disappointing to me. I thought MMOs worked better on PC anyway. UGHHHHHH man this just does not have me excited at all. I'm just utterly disappointed that I will not be able to afford to buy and play this game. Fuck.
