*punches hole in wall* | Luckily that was a virtual wall, otherwise I would have to try and stuff the hole with newspaper and try to spread putty over it. Not that I have ever made a hole in a real wall and had to do this before.. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-26-2008, 06:36 PM | #22 (permalink) | | Necro Slayer Super Moderator Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 3,922 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 83 Thanked 349x in 218 Posts Gil: 3,928 Bank: 63,243 Total Gil: 67,172 Donate | Re: Which do you like better Originally Posted by Brielle | Luckily that was a virtual wall, otherwise I would have to try and stuff the hole with newspaper and try to spread putty over it. Not that I have ever made a hole in a real wall and had to do this before.. | Please do NOT do this at home! Get a piece of drywall, then cut around the hole in the wall so you have a nice square shape, then cut the same size in the new piece of drywall, screw a couple of slats behind the hole in the wall so you have something to attach your patch to, screw the patch to the slats, and NOW plaster the screw holes and around the patch and sand after its dried! This ends your Home Depot lesson for the day, thank you and come again!
(Sorry, just had to! Recently had 1/2 the closet ceiling in our 100+ yr old home come crashing down. Had to teach hubby how to fix it. /sigh) | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-26-2008, 06:42 PM | #23 (permalink) | | Alone Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: Boston Posts: 3,145 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 251 Thanked 295x in 206 Posts Gil: 12,914 Bank: 21,106 Total Gil: 34,020 Donate | Re: Which do you like better glad we can stay on topic '.'/ | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-26-2008, 07:09 PM | #24 (permalink) | | RABBITGAME Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Confirmed Posts: 2,875 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 83 Thanked 213x in 164 Posts Gil: 21,712 Bank: 7,146 Total Gil: 28,858 Donate | Re: Which do you like better Originally Posted by Sevv | | glad we can stay on topic '.'/ | It's harder than it looks. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-27-2008, 01:39 PM | #25 (permalink) | | Bad Wolf Super Moderator Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Texas Posts: 3,385 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 40 Thanked 129x in 94 Posts Gil: 10,287 Bank: 28,159 Total Gil: 38,446 Donate | Re: Which do you like better Originally Posted by Feba | BUT YOU DIDN'T.
