Chapther One: The Black Sheep.
-Lowess, come here boy! I need your help with those ores, and bring me the crystals. Hurry up boy! "This kid… I dunno what’s happening with him, he's so clumsy.
- I’m here dad, don’t yell. Here- he hands the ores to his father.
-What’s taking you so long Lowess, huh?
-I was practicing swordship, - and the young one shows a big smile to his dad.
-WHAT!- yells the old man- You are still babbling the same nonsense, Lowess. I’ve told you a million times before you wont become a Knight, -Lowess's dad was yelling as loud as a bear’s growl - You`ll became blacksmith as me, and my father before me and his father before him! You can’t let the Alidreill’s family tradition die for such nonsense! Oh, gods, you are more reckless than a goat!!!
-Why do you always try to defy my fate dad? I want to be a knight and that way will be!
The eyes of the old man gave the boy a mean look and, after that, thoses words were summoned: "Lowess Alidreill, you’ll just became a knight over my dead body" and then... "So be it"- said the young Lowess screaming at his angry father and the old man, blinded by rage, tryed to hit Lowess with a slap. But suddenly.. a female voice…
-You two stop right now! Are you mad or something?!-
-Woman, don’t you dare get in the middle of us. If someone is mad is this black sheep,
a shame for the family..."
-Zuriell, - the old lady said..- I’ll talk to him. Let me calm him down, he's just a boy. He doesn’t know anything.
-I am not a boy -Lowess said
-Be quiet, Lowess, for your own good"
-Yes mom...I’ll be quiet"
-Woman! - Yells the old man- you better talk to your son, before I get back for dinner... And you little brat - pinpoint to Lowess- consider yourself lucky...
Late that night, under a full moon glow....
-Are you going anywhere, Lowess?
-Mom! ... yes mother, I've made up my mind... i will became a knight!
-I guess it can’t be helped, my son. You are just like your uncle... He was a knight you know..
-My uncle....uncle Yllur? But he I believed him dead...
-That is what your father wants to make you believe, just to hide from you the fact that he was a knight. But tell me, my son, why a knight rather than a blacksmith?
