After learning about Alena i packed my bag and left Bastok to travel to Mhuara to find her. The first couple of days were pretty uneventful except for the odd Quadav and lizard. When i reached Valkurm Dunes i decided not to waste anytime and started to make my way to Selbina without joining a party...A choice i didn't know i would regret.

I made it about half way there when a Sandstorm set in. I tried to continue in the storm but could hardly see anything and didn't realise that i had wondered off the path. I had been walking for about half an hour when i sensed something coming, I stopped...the feeling was getting stronger, then i heard a growling sound. I slowly turned around and standing behind me was a goblin, drewling and snarling. I gripped my sword ready to fight it and readied myself to cast Dia, knowing i had just enough strength to beat it. Then from out of the storm 2 more goblins appeared...it was a Ambushing Party. I knew i had nowhere near enough strength to beat 3 goblins, but i also knew i had no choice because i didn't know where i was.

Suddenly the goblins started their attack...i used my Chainspell ability and drew my sword. Casting Protect on myself i started fighting the goblins, i then casted Dia on them and Cure II on myself. I continued to fight them while casting spells and healing myself. With the last of my MP i casted Bind on the goblins and bound 2 of them. I attacked the other goblin and used Fast Blade to kill it. With my HP at half and no MP i knew it would take a miracle to take the other 2 goblins out. Suddenly one of the goblins snuck up behind me and slashed me down the arm and the nstabbed me in the stomach and shoulder and i fell to my knees. Then , the other one clubbed me across the head and i fell to the ground.

The goblins stood over me and raised their weapons to strike again...then an arrow shot straight through one of the goblins arms. Out of the storm a party appeared and fought off the goblins. After they killed the goblins one of them rushed over to me, cradled me in their arms and said in a soft voice... "Hang on, you're going to be alright." Everything went blurry and then i blacked out...
