Heh, today's episode reminds me of that time in the Tree when a NIN who was utterly convinced that "NINs can't tank" kept screaming for Haste from me.

While I was in the middle of refreshing all the mages, doing debuffs because she wasn't (debuffs that would help her retain shadows, I might add), and main healing. Even if it was in the middle of casting a long spell!

OK, I'll admit that I could've done a better job than I did, looking back with more skill and experience under my belt. But that doesn't give her the right to waste time she could have been spending thinking of ways to retain hate making louder and louder demands for Haste.

The last straw was when she called me lazy. I was casting spells as quickly as I could without Chainspell involved, but because the Haste she wanted so badly was late on my to-do list, somehow in her eyes I was just standing there doing nothing. That tore it. I disbanded right then and there in mid-battle, and I don't do that sort of thing.

I was shortly invited back, having been told that she was kicked out for being such a jerk. And we ended up with a cool tarudin to replace her with. -- Pteryx

Okay, this comedy level of the replies has just reached a new level.

I recently received an email from a player offering to bribe me to reactivate his account after he was banned. In his words, he will make it worth my while.

This, however, creates an internal conflict between my sense of honesty and my desire to have more stuff. If I lie and tell him to transfer the funds, I'm basically stealing. If I do it though, I get to buy things.

You can see my dilemma.

How sad is it that people not only still believe the whole thing, but believe it enough to offer me bribes to fix their accounts?

People make my brain hurt.

That would be a funny thing to add.. either a RDM or BRD calls a GM cause he can't get a party, he asked party leaders to invite him cause he IS a RDM or BRD afterall. And he's calling the GM since he heard RDM and BRD are the fast and easy jobs to 75.

Wow, Taodyn, I never really knew one way or another if [GM]Dave was real or not until I stumbled across this thread. I mean, of course, I wondered, can a GM do that sort of thing? Would one? All I have to say is, thank you for the laughs. I'll continue to read your blog every day.

People actually believed it? <__< I didn't, I thought everyone was roleplaying in the comments. I think the big clue was how a Goblin became friends with a GM and they both happened to have the same writing style =P

Just email the guy and tell him this is a p**s take and he should'nt have doen what he did to get banned. don't accept any money as that can be classed at fraud.
