I love how nobody seems to notice my posts in that thread.

Well, WTF is that chart in the signature, Hamlet? I was wondering if GM Dave was real. He seemed a lot like a video-game version of Bernard Black, the evil bookshop owner from "Black Books". Then I finally found the culprit after years of work (okay, an hour at most). Keep going Taodyn. I loved the "days as a newbie" post, and I enjoyed yesterday's post (yesterday my time.). |

No, the problem is he's probably talking sense. Sense and n00bs are like oil and water. They're physically incapable of interacting.

Not unless you use an emulsifier, ha ha ha. Okay, bad joke. Anyhoo, I'm really only a n00b to the actual world of Vana'diel. Anything on Final Fantasy in general, and I'm your man. |

I would venture that you are in fact a newb, similar in some ways but distinct from the malignant entities knowns as n00bs. ^^ “Be careful not to confuse a n00b with a similar species known as the newb. Newbs can be distinguished from n00bs by their use of proper grammar and good manners.”

A newb, perhaps, to FFXI, and MMORPGs. However, I am a veritable expert on Final Fantasy in general. BTW, what does "zuru zuru zuru zuru" mean? |

I've been waiting for someone to ask that. ^^ It's something Tifa says to Cloud in Advent Children when he's ruminating about how he can never protect the people who're important to him. "Zuruzuru" is Japanese onomatopoeia for dragging something heavy, so she's making fun of him for dragging his past around and using it as an excuse.

Ah, the equivalent of "dilly-dally, shilly-shally". I can read katakana fairly well, but was puzzled by what it was. Didn't mind "Advent Children", though I want to see what "Dirge of Cerberus" is like when it comes out. |

Yeah, dilly-dally shilly-shally was a bad translation. The fansub was "drifting, drifting" which was hardly better. Reno even says something about dragging around right after that, but I guess it's a hard concept to translate directly. I liked Advent Children. Very pretty and lots of fanservice as expected, but surpassed my expectations by actually giving some closure to the FF7 plot.

The latest one is actually quite good, most of the "prisoners" teaming up to try and beat Jormungand. Only Dave has some tricks up his sleeve. KLOL. (Kefka LOL) |
