couldn't tell you off hand... someone on Alla a while back straight up asked one of them.

Re: Any questions for SE?
1.) Is SE aware that a majority of players (not just on PC, but in general) want a built in windower for FFXI?

2.) Is SE aware that a majority of PC users use one despite a windower being against ToS?

3.) Is SE aware that an overwhelming majority of players would be content to use a built in windower (both in the sense that non TOS violators would start to use windows mode, and current ToS violators would stop violating the ToS)

4.) Does SE actually -care- about this issue to actually say anything other than "we want the game experience to be identical on all platforms" like a broken recrod?

5.) What would it take to convince SE that a native windower would be a smart thing?

Okay. so maybe rephrase that last one.

thats an awful policy as regards most things. While someone in a GM position should be given some leway, in order to be flexable, and do the right thing where nessecary. It does the game, players and company no good at all to have one GM say one thing while another says another. See the absolute virtue case. On one server a GM told a LS to stop holding AV at the wall or face bannings/suspensions. On another the GM was there cheering Apathy on while they did exactly the same thing.

Q: Why are Ninjutsu :Ni enfeebles more effective than Red Mage enfeebles? Red Mage is the master of Enfeebling Magic, yet as RDM75 my enfeebling magic is regularly overwritten by Ninjas casting Kurayami: Ni and Hojo: Ni. Are there any plans to increase the potency of Enfeebling Magic so that the job with the most Enfeebling spells, Red Mage, can do that job best, as they should? Perhaps a trait, "Enfeebling Magic Bonus", which would operate similar to Magic Attack Bonus?

Q: Why are White Mages more capable with their melee weapons than Red Mages? White Mage has a higher skill cap in Club than Red Mage has in Sword or Dagger, yet Red Mage has classically been the more martial of the two jobs.
Thank you! These are questions I have always asked myself as well. As for my question, Why aren't there any moogles in Selbina? We have some in places like Kazham, and Rabao, but no Selbina. Selbina is usually full of low level players, it can be very difficult to get back to a city safely, especially if we have a homepoint in Valkurm or Selbina. It would make things a lot easier if we could switch to a higher job and get there quick if we are in a hurry. Or maybe if there are two jobs that need to be levleled up in Valkurm, it'd be much easier just to stay there and switch, rather than going all the way back.

Or would there be an auction house in Selbina anytime soon? We are leveling in Valkurm/Korrolokka for ten levels, give or take, it'd be nice to be able to go to an auction house in Selbina and get better equipment as levels progress, rather than walking all the way back.

Re: Any questions for SE?
The reasons you list for wanting a nomad moogle in Selbina/Mhaura are exactly the reasons there should not be one there. Boot camp is supposed to be hard.

I'm just saying that sometimes you're in a hurry, and wallking just won't work. There have been a few occassions where I've missed some things due to having to walk long distances.

Re: Any questions for SE?
because it wouldn't make sense by storyline, selbina is NOT in the outlands, not to mention the duty of the ffxi dev team isn't to make life more convineant.

There's many other places to level besides valkurm, and I really doubt they want to ENCOURAGE the fun-suck that is the dunes, where everyone gets in a big muck and tries to level.

actually while theres probably some truth in what you say, i do belive i read SE say somewhere a while back the main reason is that they just didn't think of it at the the time. If Selbina and Murhuahuahuhauha were added now they probably would have nomads.

Personally i agree a little with the boot camp is meant to be hard philosophy, but why couldn't they add a moogle somewhere which you could only use at say rank 3. realistically most players will have been through the dunes at least twice by then. I didn't mind running back and forth at that point. It's now when i'm looking at taking a fifth job through there the thought of being so detatched from everywhere gauls me.

Re: Any questions for SE?
NPC Fellow

1) Will levels for our NPC Fellow be increased to 70? 75?

2) Will additional quests be available from our NPC Fellow?

3) Will any additional spells be made available for our NPC Fellow when set to Healer? Refresh?

Job Related

1) Are they any new jobs being considered for the next expansion?

2) How long does it take for a mob to build up a resistance to a certain magic? Is there any way to decrease the magic resistance rapidly?

3) A summoner's spirits are hardly ever used due to their randomness and high mp cost. Will there be any changes to the way spirits are used by a summoner to increase their usefullness?

4) You said that the merit system will be revamped in the future. Is this still in development and, if so, when should we expect it?

Areas

1) Has their been any thought of returning to the "old" zones and reworking them to compete with the new expansion areas?

2) Will Jeuno ever have a Besiege?

3) The Golden Saucer is very popular with FF players. Will the Golden Saucer ever come to FFXI?

4) Currently their appears to be only one race track for chocobos in Al Zahbi. Will additional tracks be opened in other cities? Will San d'Oria ever start chocobo jousting?

Game Related

1) Currently, if a person sleeps a mob, the mob gains hate against that person while remaining unclaimed. This opens up the opportunity for another person to cast Dia on the slept mob, waking it up, so it can attack the person who slept it. Will there be any future action taken against this? Will having it so a player can remove the spell so it can be slept again be a workable solution?

More will be added as I think of them...

Re: Any questions for SE?
That mob sleep question led me to this one...

Currently, there are many reliable reports of of hate being generated on a mob and no claims made. For example, a Puppetmaster, even when no other players are around, can tell a puppet to attack. It will cast Dia, and the mob remains unclaimed. BST have reported similar issues. Can we -please- get clarification on how Claiming works now because it does =not= appear to work as described (whether that is because it was broken, or because something was lost in translation?)

Re: Any questions for SE?
Claiming works fine. Pets were not included in their example graphics, so the system must not apply to them.

Obviously.

Re: Any questions for SE?
/ja "Deploy" <t>

Mob stays yellow. NO claim at ALL.

Claiming does not work fine. I have personally - not heard of, saw, or read in a form; PERSONALLY - competed with another PUP h2h me and him attacking same mob and stayed -yellow- the -entire- time until it was dead. We duo'd a yellow mob, we were not in a party together, nor in an alliance together, never have been, never will.

This happened to me not once, but twice.

That said, I think its a valid question, please refer to the thread where this topic is specificly discussed.

That was GM Luminious, he didn't really seem to know what fraps was though. The person who asked him about it didn't do a good job of explaining it to him.

You know that's kind of how lot of law enforcement runs. They give them a base saying anything over this is illegal, then a max saying anything over this is criminal. What's inbetween those two is to the officer's own disscretion, what is criminal is regardless of the situation you will be arrested for that action.

Makes perfect sense to me, except for that last part. There seems to be a lot of animosity coming from your direction towards this second PUP.

Some of these questions are kind of rediculous. Golden Saucer?
