Since spring break is here and I thought it would be fun to start a new mmo up. I played ffxi a month when the ps2 version came out but left for some reason. I am updating right now and trying to decide on a good server to play on. I was gonna start out as a rdm. Any lses that accept new players? Could anyone get me a wp also? If not I could try to land on Fairy by recreating over and over.
I posted this on the fairy board on killingifrit and got some realyl negative replies.. Thanks for those who answer. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-13-2006, 09:24 AM | #2 (permalink) | | anti-spam Super Moderator Join Date: Jan 2004 Posts: 5,535 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 22 Thanked 64x in 59 Posts Gil: 45,446 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 45,446 Donate | Re: Fairy a good server for a new player? well, that's KI for ya
Fairy is one of the more EN populated servers (i think). So more ppl = better chances of finding a party = good! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-13-2006, 09:43 AM | #3 (permalink) | | Pai Pai Lackey Super Moderator Join Date: Feb 2003 Posts: 5,242 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 4 Thanked 29x in 24 Posts Gil: 39,897 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 39,897 Donate | Re: Fairy a good server for a new player? Yeah, Fairy was one of the server created on the US release of the FINAL FANTASY XI game. With the "World Shifts" that have occured though the EN and JP population seem fairly balanced. You check who's on from like midnight till 8:00AM MST and the population is mostly JP, players active during the time is close to the same count you get when the US primetime of players is out too.
So it seems fairly balanced now maybe a little bit more EN influenced on the server but not more of a decent mix. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-14-2006, 11:49 AM | #4 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Posts: 19 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 283 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 283 Donate | Re: Fairy a good server for a new player? That's a joke right
Yeah, it is a bit random but most of the time it's Windurst and San d'Oria battling for Rank 1. Once in a while Bastok sneaks it's way into Rank 1. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 05-04-2006, 05:25 PM | #8 (permalink) | | From Beneath You, It Devours Super Moderator Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Texas Posts: 3,439 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 43 Thanked 150x in 105 Posts Gil: 18,296 Bank: 56,315 Total Gil: 74,611 Donate | Re: Fairy a good server for a new player? I'm new to this game, been playing EQOA for some time before finally picing up this game for the PS2 (is why I never got the Slim Line PS2s) Just got a World Pass from a friend in EQOA to come to the Fairy server.
I haven't done much with the game yet, but maybe we can hook up in the game some time. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-06-2006, 06:59 PM | #14 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Posts: 15 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 2 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 465 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 465 Donate | Re: Fairy a good server for a new player? there you are Maccie >.< I knew I'd find you somewhere. There is so much I'd like to do between EQOA and FF11. I'm hoping that my fiance gets into a set patern so I can get some time play in. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
