I can get the game to launch, and on my game box it says it's Windows 7 compatible but it is super laggy and I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8Ghz, Nvidia 9600GT, and 2GB of RAM. I can play Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2 on the highest settings with no lag, but I've heard FFXI has problems with Windows 7. Changing the settings does do anything I've chnaged it from low to high settings in FFXI but the lag stays the same for me. So i install gamespy comrade and go back to that page so i can download final fantasy...i click download file and it opens in my download manager in gamespy comrade....but everytime i try to download this file ...i get the message "Download Failed Could Not Get File Info (file id=191742)". And i click Retry but the same thing happens...

After trolling the interwebs, i decided that ia may be because of maintenance to the registration servers. I'm pretty sure i've done everything correctly.

I just installed Windows 7, and downloaded the newest PoL setup from the bottom of the PlayOnline website:

After installation, when I run the exe it shows the blue "Play Online" screen then another screen opens for a split second and closes. The Play Online screen minimizes and I can't open it back. (Crash maybe?)

I really want to play FFXI, I just can't get PoL open. Can anyone help?

I get to step two no problem, but then around %4 it stops and holds an error message about the connection being interrupted. And then I have to start all over again! I can find no problem with my internet connection.

Anyone have some insight for me?
