A New chocobreeder

Hello fellow chocobreeders i have just started chocobo breeding i have a few questions to ask. Any help on any of them would be great.

1) I read on FFXIclopedia that a second gen chick could be a different color then the parents if one of the stats where Avg or better. So my question is if 2 yellow chocobos breed with high str does that mean the chick could be a black one?

2) Also regarding stat do second+ gens stats grow faster if the parents had high stats (IE: if partets had high str the chicks str would rise faster then normal)

3) And one last question, I want raise a good Raceing chocobo what kind of care plan would you guys reccomend?
