Looking for a black Chocobo on Bahumut - Final Fantasy XI :: Dreams in Vana'diel :: Community

Could someone help me acquire a colored choco egg(perferably black). I am on the Bahumut server and located in (pst) time zone.

I have tried multiple times to raise a colored bird on my own, but only ended up with a plain yellow bird.

I will be more than happy to help acquire the egg or help you with any mission you may be on. I am a level 75 smn with all smns and I have been playin this game for 3+ years now. (not to say i am an expert by any means, just stating that I have some experience within the game and most of the missions.)

I look forward to talking to you guys in game and/or here in the forums.

My lil one hatched on March 1st.

One question: "Will a black Chocobo come out of the egg black? Or will it only turn black when it matures?"

Any hints on the best way to get it to excellent str and endurance ASAP?

Starlett,

All chocobos hatch Yellow with reddish brown stripes on the back. On day 19 they will grow into adolescence and will have yellow bodies with some color tip. White tips = yellow chocobo. Dark grey/black = black chocobo. Although, I hear that it isn't 100% indicator, but I have never been let down.

Now they introduce bird dye. Are you F'n serious.

I had to look high and low and finally reach out to our wonderful forum group....and after i finally recieved my egg and hatched little Pendragon II.

And now ... color dye.

Oh well... my choco chic will still be OG :

Something tells me that the dyes are going to be for identifiers in Chocobo racing. For example, you are issued a Dye to use on your bird before the race begins so you can tell that the Red one, or the Green one out on the track is yours.

I'm trying to get a black one too... I bread a Red Female with a Black male and chose the sports program. Here's hoping ^_^.

*LOL* Kael, you had me confused. My LS Leader on BAHAMUT is Kael and he has done some black/red mating I think.
