you have 100 days? I heard stats stop growing after 60 days. Any confirmation on this?

I retired my chocobo in frustration around day 106 or 108. -_- I was trying to get it Canter before retiring it so that the ability might be inherited through breeding, but the cutscene just wouldn't come up. Anyway, my chocobos stats didn't change at all between day 60 and day 10x, even through I kept feeding it zeghams, kept affection at parent, and send it out digging nearly constantly. I think your previous statement of no growth after 60 days is probably correct.

Day 84, REC finally went up to Better than Average. So it took quite a while (9 days from last stat increase, actually 17 act in plays since last REC increase) but it still happened.

I think at least some chocobos have a maximum set to their attributes. Just like some chocobos don't have any chance of being non-yellow. (SE stated this about the colors.)

Blue Vaillante didn't learn any abilities until his Discernment hit Impressive. I should have held out until he hit Outstanding or First Class because I had been trying for the digging abilities and was unsuccesful. Once he hit Impressive and I still couldn't 'learn' the digging abilities I tried randomly on the other stories and then Blue learned Auto-Regen & Gallop. Next DIS/REC choco I raise I will hold out and see if I can learn digging abilities at a higher Discernment level.
