With my busy school life that recently sprang up and lots of homework and studying flying around, I have found little time for my usual FFXI activities. Recently though, I have become well versed in two new intrests that are low on time requirements and rather fun, Chocobo Raising and Gardening. I tend to be more of a throw a few crystals at a random seed I had lying around in my invintory gardener, so don't ask me questions there, but I am really knowledgeable at chocobo raising. I tried writing a guide, but it kinda fell apart and I just got bored with it, but I desided I would make this help thread where I and perhaps a few others who are versed in the subject could answer the questions of the general populace.

do you know what the effect of San Doria carrots is?

same, right now she on a sandy carrot diet, sine she gupls it down each time.

From what I have seen, San D' Orian carrots seem to increace a Chocobo's receptivity, however, it is to soon to know for sure.

A little guide for the gardening aspect:

What I have grown:

8 pots all wildgrass seeds all fed water crystals. I didn't take note of the day or moonphase planted, or fed, harvested on lightsday.

Wildgrass seeds + water crystal = 36ish Tokopekko wildgrass, 30ish fire crystals, 12 gysahl greens


What I have heard other people have grown:

Wildgrass seeds + fire crystal = Garidav wildgrass, Azouph greens, Sharug greens

Wildgrass seeds + earth crystal = Vomp carrots, light crystals, gysahl greens, lightning crystals

Wildgrass seeds + wind crystal = unknown

Wildgrass seeds + ice crystal = Zegham carrots,

Wildgrass seeds + light crystal = Sharug greens

Wildgrass seeds + dark crystal =

Wildgrass seeds + no crystal = little worms, a ton of la theine cabbages, gregarious worms


You seem to have a chance of growing everything no matter what crystal fed, but each crystal seems to give you a better chance at getting a particular item.
