AVATAR (Not to be confused with The Last Airbender)

I haven't really heard too much about this movie, other than a friend of mine mentioning AVATAR and I thought he was talking about "The Last Airbender", but he corrected me by telling me its totally a different movie lol.

Apparently yesterday the site was overrun with people trying to get special screening preview tickets early in the day. I applied for mine yesterday and my confirmation email arrived not too long after. Anybody else going?

I've heard NOTHING about the movie, and I thought the game being released from within the same vein was about the Airbender movie. As far as I can tell, it's giant robots versus indigenous population, or, more familiarly, ewoks versus the empire.

Seriously though, I hope nobody records it. If they get caught they'll end up like that dude that talked about seeing the DB:E movie before it came out.

First I have heard of this movie. I read the story you linked to and so far I am not interested.

Sounds like a fine plot to me, now I have a movie to look forward to.

lol, I'll let you guys know how the Preview "20 Min Trailer" is when I get back home that night. Me and a couple of friends are planning on going out there to see it, SO IT BETTER BE GOOD!!! Just got back about 20 mins ago, and it was worth the hour drive and hour wait to go see lmao. I ended up getting there about a hour early, and I was glad I did so that I could get a good seat. Since it was the earliest show, and it "Sold Out" I was thinking the theatre would be filled to capacity (393 people) but instead there were about a good 75-80 peeps for the first show. When I talk to my friend who went to the 8:00 show, I'll ask him if his was filled or not. They checked IDs and tickets when we got there, and I got a good seat in the IMAX in the absolute horizontal center and about 2 rows up from absolute vertical center. They told everybody to turn off all cellphones, nobody would be allowed to leave until it was over, and that they'd be keeping an eye out for recorders. I took off all of my electronic equipment and made sure to turn it off so I wouldn't be asked to leave. I had a Cellphone, bluetooth headphones, a Ipod touch, and my LED Watch that I put in my pockets before it started lol.

this is the official teaser trailer for the movie. The preview I got to see was in IMAX 3D and it was awesome, I've never seen anything like it before. I had a preconception that it might possibly be on the kiddy side, but it looks like there will be alot of epic deaths, mechs, guns, love, and cool beings in it. People clapped at the end of it and the general consensus was that it was going to be FTW when it comes out. I think it might possibly come close to toppling Titanic or it'll at least make the top 5 in the highest grossing films list (Move over LotR and PotC). Did I mention that the trailer I saw was only 16 mins long? Nothing else can be said other than when it comes out in December go see it.

I couldn't find any trailers for this on the net and gave up. Last night we went to District 9 and they had a trailer for it. I was oooo'ing and ahhhh'ing without knowing what it was called until the end when it said AVATAR. Then I shouted "OMG THAT'S THE MOVIE DURAH WAS TALKING ABOUT!" and I promptly got shushed! lol I'm looking forward to it now!
