Re: Top 5 favorite Movies of all times

Honestly, having only five to choose from is like Sophie's Choice for me. I feel like I'm letting a lot of great movies down. But in terms of films I can sit down and watch whenever (and often do)...

Six Degrees of Separation
Clue
Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain
Little Children
Now, Voyager

Enter the dragon

Because "Man you are straight out of comicbook!"

Layer Cake

Well the reason is because its great but the word F*ck was used 201 times in this movie just incase you would ever wonder.

Batman (1989)

Jack Nicholson is an epic joker

Money Talks

I really like Barry White. May he rest in peace

Drunken Master

The reason you never mess with the drunk asian dude at the end of the bar singing to himself.

Re: Top 5 favorite Movies of all times

Wow, not one person has put in Fight Club yet?!?!?

1. Fight Club - Most bad ass movie every.
2. The Dark Knight - Should have be renamed "The Joker"
3. Boondock Saints - 2nd most bad ass movie ever
4. Shawshank Redemtion - Simply perfect in every way
5. Seven - Sickingly amazing

Funny thing is, Morgan Freeman was in 3 of my top 5, with Brad Pitt in 2. My top 5 favorite actors are:

1. Morgan Freeman - Name one bad movie he has done
2. Johnny Deep - Great in all roles, from What's Eatting Gilbert Grape to Pirates of the Carribean and his upcoming gangster movie
3. Edward Norton - Outstanding in all his movies
4. Kevin Spacey - Truely awesome
5. Al Pachino - the man

Re: Top 5 favorite Movies of all times

Difficult to come up with a list. In no particular order...

Big (haven't seen it for a while. just ordered on Blu-Ray - America only at the moment)

Josie and the Pussycats (Rachael Leigh Cook fan and have seen this movie loads of times)

Night of the Comet (bit of a cult movie I suppose. Only released on R1 DVD to my knowledge)

Castle in the Sky (big fan of the director)

Ella Enchanted (hope that gets a Blu-Ray release before too long)

OK... do I have a strange taste in movies?

Re: Top 5 favorite Movies of all times

Was gonna post this in the No Rails to Derail thread, but I wouldn't want to be responsible for taking the subject away from the FEBA giving TGM AIDS bit.

Just finished watching Dorm this weekend and I loved it so much that I just had to edit my list. I highly recommend it. Just don't go in thinking it's a horror movie based on the marketing. It's more like it starts off like a horror movie, then ends up being a coming-of-age drama. And the scene with the spoof of Mr Vampire wins the movie.

Re: Top 5 favorite Movies of all times

So unfair, there are so many movies I love for so many reasons, many of which have been listed above.

The only one in any sort of order is Payback, which holds the undisputed No. 1 amongst all movies I've enjoyed. Casablanca was only just edged out of this list, seeing as I could only pick five. The rest are equal, as I love each one as much as the next:

Payback
Lucky#Slevin
Sunshine
American Gangster
Fight Club
