Max Payne always struck me as having a bit of the Punisher to it and played like a movie. Dunno about this, might watch it if I see it in Tesco for a fiver but I doubt I'll go out of my way for it.

As for good game to movie conversions. I really like Silent Hill, I think it captured the mood well and it has clearly influenced the latest offering.

You know, I never thought about that but it does kinda resemble the Punisher, Character situation, and storywise. Speaking of The Punisher, after seeing the trailer for the The Punisher: War Zone, I think Max Payne might be better. I just wish Thomas Jane would've signed on to do this one too lol.

I thought the first Tomb Raider and the 1st and 2nd Resident Evil movies were good.

The others were decent though (I bought all the Resident Evil movies in Blu-Ray after all <_<; )

This Payne needed longer/spikier hair though, but it looks promising. Did the guys who wrote the Max Payne stories for the games write this one too?

I think the resident evil movies would have done very well if they weren't resident evil, because game wise they' don't follow it at all, but in a general movie view, they were actually pretty good movies. I disliked the resident evil games and liked the movies, i didn't care if it didn't follow the games. People have to remember that movies are barely ever like what their based off, like most movies are based off books, and don't follow them very well. Although that doesn't mean they can't be good movies.

The Tomb Raider movies didn't suck on the account of the actors, just the writers and directors. The casting team deserves cookies for getting Angelina to play Lara.

I guess I just feel doing a movie about Max Payne is kinda like xeroxing Dirty Harry.

Also, bullet-time so 1999.

Well, I saw the Resident Evil Trilogy on Blu-Ray marked 69.99 but on sale for 49.99 so I used my $10 off reward zone credit and got it for 39.99.
