I can't remember. Do the more recent editions still use THAC0? I haven't played since 2nd Edition.

Nope. 3.0 and 3.5 use the D20 System (hell, it invented it): a roll of a D20 and add the relevant bonuses. The goal is to meet or beat the Difficulty Class (DC) number of the task at hand, be it an attack, saving throw, skill check, or some other action.
