I don't normally take notice when things go on sale, but as a PS3 owner I couldn't ignore this sale: 50% off of MSRP off of 47 high definition Blu-ray movie titles from Sony, 20th Century Fox, and Magnolia Studios through Amazon.com! http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1000062781 If you own a PS3 and an HDTV, this is probably the best chance you'll get in quite some time to pick up some of these titles for this low a price (I bought 9!). Of course the way things are looking I might have to settle for a 720p display for the time being since I can't get anything 1080p capable in this place for a decent price.

Oh man. It's a shame I have like half the movies on that list. I guess big sales like this are the downfall to being an early adopter. XD Oh well. Casino Royale comes out next week!

Blu-ray is going to absolutely DECIMATE HD-DVD this month. Between this sale and the fact that the only HD-DVD exclusive title releasing this month is Children of Men, look for the sales figures to tilt excessively towards Blu-ray. Incidentally, this sale will be going until March 27th, 2007, so you have a little under 3 more weeks to pull the trigger if you're interested in any of these titles.  Icemage |
