Samus is going to hollywood, new metroid movie in the works

just saw this official announcement of a metroid movie in the making, i am very excited about this, and would love to see a movie made out of metroid, it could be kinda like a terminator/robocop mix thingy going there ^_^

Oh my sweet fucking lord.... Metoid has been my first love of gaming dating back to the origional on nintendo. This movie would F***ING own! Theyd better not screw it up like they did that damned Xmen movie... If they do, theres gonna be alot of new people on my to kill list.

Metroid and Final Fantasy's are my favourite games. The Metroid series always defined a new standard for the system it was released on, therefore this movie MUST do the same for the silver screen.

Well, we all know that Eidos and the production company of Tomb Raider seriously botched the entire movie with Angelina Jolie. Lets just hope that there will be new people working in this movie ^_^

Well who do you think would fit the category of Samus Aran?

CG Animated movies sounds cool, but I doubt their going to make another fully CG movie after the flopped release of Final Fantasy The Spirits Within. The producers for the Metriod movie most likely will follow the sucessful formula of blending CG Characters with real time actors a la Hulk and Spiderman. Thats why they'll probably employ a new heroine for the movie (I doubt that Samus is going to spend the entire movie inside a suit)

Have any of you guys read Nintendo Power way back then? They use the have a short comic strip about the metriod series where you can actually see her physical appearance outside the suit. She looks awesome without it too ^^

Heh, you generally get to see her without the suit in just about every Metroid game if you get the best ending... of course I'm baffled as to how her hair went from green to blonde over the years. Didn't think she had time to dye it. Heheh.

Anyway, if this movie actually gets finished and released as a live-action movie, I hope it don't suck on toast, as seems to be the theme with video game movies... Square shoulda known better with the Final Fantasy movie. There was nothing final-fantasy-ish about it... The Mario Bros. movie? Arr... that movie also sucked by the fact that suddenly the Mushroom Kingdom was a land where Dinosaurs evolved into humanoids... King Koopa = T-Rex? Whaaatever. I didn't see one fricking floating block. Tomb Raider - no animals were killed (which is what I remember her doing a lot). Resident Evil - Erm... not enough puzzle solving? Heh. Anyway, it's a definate wait-and-see sorta thing for me. Won't get my hopes up until I see some of it in action.

I CAN TOTALLY ANSWER UR GREEN TO BLONDE QUESTION!! u see, when a blonde girl swims in a pool a lot, the chlorine in the water kinda tints her hair green. so what happened was, she obviously swam a lot, but in the later years decided to stop after seeing herself in the mirror. she probably thought that green hair was so last milennia.

neway, after reading the article, i couldn't help but think of samus in american pie. or even on final destination. haha, oh man...that'd be too weird.

but i think the movie would totally own, if it's done right.
