Ok, I have searched this forum for both pointer and curser and found nothing so if there is a post and I missed it or they call it something else please just post link to it, thank you.

Ok, I am SO sick and tired of loseing the pointer. If I am in whitegate it blends in with the floor. Same with any sandy area or any light colored area @ all and even some dark areas. I move it around and around and just can't find it so I give up and click it and it moves to menu.

So please if there is a way to change the pointer please please please tell me how to do it. Any sites with anternate pointers to use ect.. any help is greatly welcomed.

The pointer is embedded in the file with the text font and button textures. For alternatives, try http://brandson.livejournal.com

Anyone know of another one?? I don't want to change everything like the one on the site does I just want to change the pointer....

Actually I use a track ball and I find it much faster then most people who use mice.

Nomido, I don't want a really major change. Same pointer as it is now just maybe rotate a bright red or blue instead of its noraml tan.

I need some more claryfication what you want and i found a second option for you.

First for the claryfication:

I know you want 1 and 2 changed but do you also want that circlelike white dot (3) changed to another color?

Now for your option 2 if you want to exchange the cursor/white dot cursor ec.. with a windows cursor:
1. FFXI Konfiguration -> Misc -> Enable Hardware Cursor -> Yes
2. Go to your FFXI folder ....\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\
3. Exchange the *.ani and *.cur with your favorite windows cursors. (arw*.ani = move camera, oarw*.ani = movement)
4. FFXI will now use these windows cursors ingame.

Oooooh, trackball user?! Do you use it in FPS games as well? How about anyone else? I've known quite a few people who own in those games with a trackball, personally I suck with em and the mouse is much better for me. But the best FPS players I know use trackballs.
