A few questions regarding dat mod

Hi all,

I am fairly new at this, and recently I have taken up an interest turning moogle into something unique, so I would like to find out if it's possible to:

1. Overwrite an Hume female NPC idle motion with a Hume Female PC motion using VRS.

I have been playing around with VRS motion and so far I have gotten to the point where I got the NPC to do a sit down motion (like I wanted by using Read motion from the corresponding PC motion) but I have no clue what to do from that point on. How do I pin point which motion I try to overwrite? Or if it's even possible? Try loading up the NPC dat and look for the corresponding motion number to overwrite?

2. Overwrite an NPC dat with PC dat.

Ummm... that's like dressing up your own custom hume female moogle :X, is it possible?

1. You probally could. I don't know defiantly, or if anyone's tried.

2.Not exactly, NPC models are all in one file. PC models are split up. You could however do this by Importing all the parts you want into VRS, combining them and Exporting it to 1 single dat. Then overwrite it.

Ok so, I got the VRS motion part down no problem... now I am running into a slight problem regarding export. I read in an NPC model into VRS and exported it back into game in a new dat name (test for the PC > NPC conversion that I am trying for). I got it to work once.... all other time I got a model with strange looking texture, no face, skin etc... it really bugged me, I can't figure out what went wrong or what I did right the first time >.<; please help.
