I wanted to know if its possible to change my character from looking like a mithra to either an elvaan or a taru.

Hi, Im currently using the model viewer program and i am able to create what i want my character to look like, but i dont understand how to upload it and change what my char currently looks like. I have been reading the forums and looking at different tutorial but i always get lost in them.

I dont need to use photoshop or anything, all the presets are there and i can change the armor and everything from that menu.

Please any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you changing any of the models or are you just trying to switch the look of the armour that your character is wearing? If you're just trying to switch what you look like in-game, write down the .DAT file names of the gear that you are currently wearing, and write down the file names of the gear you want to be wearing. Backup all of those files and copy the gear you want to wear over the ones you are wearing.

I want to completely change what my characters looks like. Im currently a mithra thf and i want to look like a taru and also have armor from all different jobs, and i can do that by changing around the model, but i dont know how to save it and also where to put the file in the ffxi folder

Wiccan's Wardrobev2 is probably what you need. Will allow you to dynamically change your race and gear without any .dat swapping.

Because Windower is against the TOS for SE, and people have been banned/suspended for using it. These forums support the TOS, IE, windower is 'banned' here.

That much being said, it's a relatively loose ban, you can mention using windower without a mod kicking you in the pants, but we do observe a policy of not linking directly to the site itself out of respect.

There ya go. You'll have to mess with your registry probably but nothing serious.

This program doesn't mess with the dats. It goes through one file and swaps out appearances with no modifications made to the dats themselves.

it's also acts really wierd with the NPCs because it doesn't swap those animations.

just stick with wardrobev2 as suggested in your previous thread. btw, why did you create a new thread for this?

Yea i looked on the windower site to try to find the wardrobe thing but i couldnt find it.

Does that program allow me to change what my race look like, but when i do gear swaps and things like that, can i see my gear change. I want to be able to do gear swaps and see my armor change but have my race be a taru or elvaan.

Sorry for being repetative, im just trying to be clear about what im trying to do.

yes, it can do all that.

as for the location, it's in their forums under other programs.
