I'm just wondering, when animations for, say, weapon skills or spells play out, is there any way to make them NOT play at the feet of your character but rather in their proper place?

For example, polearm WS wheeling thrust, most of the animation plays fine, but the bit that would play around the enemy mob instead plays at your feet. Its a bit annoying.

No, its programed like that unless the creator changes, it its not possible to change it.

ok so i DL the newest Version of Altana Viewer and everything looks ok accept i cant see anything in the Area that i should? its all Grey? i tryed messing with the settings and things and nothing seemed to work?

when this was originally found in JP i DL and edited my Reg so i could see it but it still didnt work then Either?

Try downloading the latest Drivers for your Video Card, and the latest Direct X.

The creator said this problem has been reported but the cause is unknown.

If you could post your Videocard you use, and Driver over here http://www.ffximc.com/forums.php?m=p...&n=last#bottom

I feel a little stupid asking this question but... Have the lists for AltanaView been tranlated into English yet? This earlier post in this thread by Kilandor seems to indicate that the AltanaView Lists have been translated into English, but none of the list files that came with AltanaView (this includes both version 0.3 and the new version 0.5) were in English. I searched all over this thread for attachments or links to download the translated lists, but all i could find were those two list files for blue magic and bard songs. So I searched the FFXI Mod Community site, thinking that I could find the translated lists there, but all I found there was this Task page under the Project Tracker section for AltanaView. It says that all lists are translated, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to download them on that page. I know this has got to be because I'm missing or overlooking something, and this is not only due to the fact that the Project Tracker says that all the lists are translated, but also because I haven't seen anyone else ask about it. So would anyone mind telling me just where I can get the translated lists for AltanaView?

The main core, of the lists are translated armor etc. They have been included in every release. Some thigns arent translated though. Liek Alot of Effects/motions etc. In this last version, a couple of list files changed, and need to be re-done. But that is just the Weapon Skills.

Oh wait, now I know what I did wrong, I tried to extract it in a folder that already had a folder under the name "List," no it wasn't the same folder that AltanaView Version 0.3 was in, was just folder that had nothing to do with AltanaView. So anyway, I extracted the files and the "Confirm File Replacement" dialogue box popped up because I also had another "readme.txt" file where I was extracting it. I must've clicked the "No to All" option which meant that not only wasn't the "List" folder extracted, but I didn't even know about it to begin with! Anyway, thanks, Kilandor, for clarifying that the translated lists were included with AltanaView, otherwise I probably wouldn't have thought to double check the RAR to see if they were in there.

Those of you who downloaded AltanaView Version 0.61α, released on October 10, might've noticed something a bit different... Namely the lists, they were set up in such a way that made it seem almost like a step back from the ones in the previous versions. Now it isn't anything major, mind you, just things like all beginner RSE being labeled as "Initial" rather than using their acutal names, Tarutaru male and females not being viewed seperately, and the names of some NPCs still being in Japanese. While I probably could've ported over the llist from the previous version to current version and it would've been the same as it was before, I decided to just edit the current list, as there were a few things in both versions of these lists that I've been wanting to change. Maybe I'm the only one who noticed this, or maybe no one else really even cared about it. But regardless, I decided to upload the list here anyway, so go ahead and download it and put in the same location that the current "List" folder is in. Oh yeah, and I should also note that I added the new weapons and armor that Larian had found and added to the current list, but as with her list they are only available for Hume male, Hume female, and Mithra at the moment. I might update it once all of the new dats have been found.
