Another clothing project
Hmm, wonder how many were wondering when I do something new instead of releasing old crap you've already seen.

I had some time to do some ffxi modding yesterday and decided to do something atleast.

I liked the skirt mods in Oblivion and said to myself, "Why not do a FFXI port of one?" Considering I had a skirt model already done from a previous project, I decided to fix the problems it had.

Then something else crep up in my mind, "Why not do a long hair mod? Because of the challenge." Heh, some say impossible to get it fully animated, but I say not ;P.

So whats the clothing mod all about? Well, this project will add many things to the overall final product, but for now

HF Only
- Black Skirt
- Black Shirt (From older project)
- Black Boots
- Black Gloves

I plan to expand on this project greatly. You will see some new things done to the body model in the future (meaning something like a jacket or if I want to make a new body model) and some great skirt/body texture designs, but for now, we have the basic black outfit set.

The skirt itself animates itself properly after fixing the problems in VRS after 2 or 3 hours. There are still some animations where clipping will occur, but oh well, nothing in this world is perfect.

I never finished the back of her panties textures so well so things look kinda wierd/distorted. Well it is beta you know . It will be fixed in v0.4. Front view is fine, but back side needs some work which I declined to do when working on it.

So you want to see shots? Here ya go

HQ Render version

I <3 mez guns .

Skirt hard as a rock? I think not .

Ingame/Mdlviewer shot

I show this because the way max renders my hair/face compared to the ingame one is different.

Prototype, Dress version. I need to create a new body design for it though because the body I use is for the skirt design.

Will I ever release that protoype? In order for everything to be animated properly (atleast 90% of animations look right), I would need to add about a amazing 100 points and set the weight for each one individually. Its no simple "Oh lets just set all of this to Skel 15, 1.0 and be done with it." You have to put some serious work into it. I don't know ( I doubt it) if I'll ever do it, but you never know.

Release?
Nah, I'll keep it to myself.

Nah, here ya go, here is a beta version to try out. I've been nice lately due to the fact that we in the Oblvion mod community just give out our work just like that.

http://mods.shadow-ffxi.com/HF/SkirtSetBlackHF.rar

IT SHOULD work in game. I tested a older model of this and I saw no problems with it. I suppose I'll check again and if I find out for myself that it doesn't work now, I'm killing the link and deleting the file off my server.

v0.4 release next Sunday. I would do it today, but not in the mood.

If I packaged it wrong (I wonder how many times I've done this), you can let me know I suppose. Usually a 5% chance I added the wrong dat file or misnamed one.

Porting?
Nah, it looks nasty on Mithra and EF imo. I think on taru it would look ok, but I feel sorry for the males.................forget I said that. The main problem with porting is the fact that I made actual boobies for my HF (Forgot how many points are on them) and well......you have to redo the skin textures. But hey, if you want to port it, go ahead as long as I know.

Note about the skirt
I'm sure I'll have fellow modders download this file and wish to edit the skirt with their own designs. I'm afraid that won't be possible unless you have my brain .

In order to make this skirt work correctly in game, I did some rather odd things than normal back then. Its a rather complicated process, but you cannot use changetex at all. The original version had it where you could use changetex, but that was 2 or so months ago. I modified the skirt to make it work with my Shrine Knight v2 project which in the end, made the skirt unmoddable.

I'm sure there is a easy way of making it work with your own textures, but for now, you'll just have to wait on new designs by me. I shall be importing some of my favorite skirt designs from oblivion into this (if they look right).

About my head model
So, you don't think all of that hair is animated yet? In a way you're right...

Front right side : 60%
Front left side : 80%
Back : 1% (lol)

Clipping will occur in the front, there is absolutely nothing I can do about that. it only occurs in some animations + if you're just standing still I think.

Still need to make some things longer, but hey, looking good right now. I "may" release one day once I'm done with it. It probably be in that face/hair mod thread I would create.

I should be getting some free time soon, so maybe I can mod this game more. On vacation at the moment.

More shots along with new releases whenever. I'll get to it when I can is all I can say.
